This Week at Serendipity Sam’s – w/c 8th February
This week we will be running our FREE toddler buffet Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as usual between 12.00pm and 1.30pm. Please remember the free buffet is for our pre-school visitors only.
We are also really pleased to let all of our members know the next members go free day will be this week on Thursday 11th February – members entrance will be free, so long as you bring your membership card. You can visit either, or both of our centres and the fun starts as normal from 9.30am through ’til 6.30pm. Last entrance 5.30pm. What a great day this will be for our members with pre-school age children as not only will you be able to come in for free, but also take advantage of our FREE toddler buffet between 12.00pm and 1.30pm. Our members meal deal will also be available to those with membership cards.
At Romsey we have a new breakfast menu serving from 10am every day, why not pop along after the school run?

Our next Members Go Free Day (Date for your diary!)
From time to time we offer our members a chance to take part in our Members Go Free Days, a chance for us to thank our members for their support. Members can visit either or both of our centres, and they will be admitted free of charge – so long as they present their membership card. The next of our Members Go Free Days is on Thursday 11th February, and the fun starts from 9.30am when the doors open! Remember your membership card so that you can also take advantage of our members meal deal!

What’s at Serendipity Sam’s?
We know that a lot of you visit us all of the time, but also know that we quite often see new faces, who may not know what we have to offer, so we thought we’d write a little about what we have to offer.
Serendipity Sam’s is an indoor play and party centre, we are a family operated business with two centres. Our first centre, Romsey was opened 
in 2000 on the Romsey Industrial Estate off of Greatbridge Road. Our second centre, Christchurch was opened in 2002 on Reid Street off of Fairmile Road.
We cater for children from when they are walking up to the age of 11.
Both of our sites feature play equipment allowing children to achieve their potential in a new and stimulating way. We believe in ‘Healthy Play Every Day’, the benefits of playing at Serendipity Sam’s is that children ‘excercise in disguise’ they are doing something that is good for them physically, but enjoying themselves at the same time. There are other benefits too, such as social interaction with other children, family time (parents are able to go around our equipment with their children), so a visit to Serendipity Sam’s is more than just chance for your child to burn off steam.
At both centres we have an under 4’s area for the little ones, featuring smaller climbing area, soft play, and ball pond. We also have our gigantic main frames, which are suitable for under 11’s. With slides, spinners, aerial runways, biff bashes, rope bridges, deck climbs and more your child can really have a great time.
Alongside all of the fun for the children, we haven’t forgotten about the adults who can relax in our sofas with a cup of coffee. Unlike other centres, our play frames are centralised and so we have seating placed around the frames so that you can see your children.
That’s not all though, we also have a fantastic diner offering a selection of drinks and snacks, as well as a kitchen open daily to provide both hot and cold meal, and snacking options. We have designed our menu with our customers in mind, so you can still find the childrens favourites such as Chicken Nuggets and Chips, but for those looking for a healthier alternative you can purchase childrens pasta dishes, sandwiches or jacket potatoes. There is plenty for adults on there too, including sharer platters.
We are open daily from 9.30am – 6.30pm. Our prices are stated below. For customers visiting more frequently, we would advise that you take out a membership for your child. Our membership scheme costs just £10 per child to join, and that membership will last them until they are 11. Our charges as stated below, are for 2 hour play session.
During exceptionally busy periods we reserve the right to limit this to 90 minutes, and during quieter periods we may relax the 2 hour time limit at our discretion.

Under 4’s – £4.50 (Non-Members) / £3.50 (Members)
4 & Over’s – £5.50 (Non-Members) / £4.50 (Members)
Adults – £1.00 (Non-Members) / 2 FREE PER MEMBER, £1 per additional adult (Members)
Saver Books (For Members only) – £30.00 for 10 tickets. Member may use to bring in non-member friends, but the member must be present and all entering on the tickets must enter at the same time. A valid membership card is required to purchase the tickets.

Join the team at Romsey (Job Vacancies)
We currently have some part time vacancies at our Romsey branch. Hours include regular weekend and ‘after school’ hours (after 4pm).
If you are a fun, friendly and enthusiastic person looking for a fun job – then pop down to our Romsey centre to collect an application form from Reception.
We are looking for people to join us in the following areas…
- Diner (Serving food and drinks, clearing tables, washing up, assisting our customers)
- Party Hosts (Hosting childrens parties, reception duties, cleaning duties, assisting our customers)
- Play Hosts (Helping to ensure the play areas remain safe, and assisting children to explore the play areas)

Team Member Profile: Hannah (Romsey)
Hannah (Romsey), Play & Party Host
Here’s Hannah who is another of our brilliant team members at our Romsey play and party centre. Hannah is part of our Play & Party hosting team looking after the needs of the lucky birthday boys and girls that have parties with us, and helps keep play safe and fun in our fantastic play frames.
Those of you that have met Hannah will definetely remember her, she is one of our most popular team members with the children that visit, and most know her by name. It’s probably because she loves to make every visit really memorable for all of our visitors, but especially those who have chosen to have a childrens party with us. Having achived her Silver customer service award through our internal customer service recognition scheme, Hannah really does like to make sure there are smiles all-round. You can often see Hannah organising games and races with some of the children, her favourites are our ‘Sams Snap’ game where she hides a picture card in the play frame for children to find, and ‘Bellas Ball’ where she hides a stickered ball in the ball pool for children to find.
Hannah understands the importance of keeping our centre clean, and thats why you will often see her around keeping tables clear, and ensuring the toilets are always at there best.
Hannah has been working with us since the beginning of 2009, and started as a Play Host helping to ensure rules within the play areas where being adhered to and making sure everyone was having a good time.
Hannah quickly progressed to our Party Host team, where she works now helping to make sure parties at Serendipity Sam’s are the best! We regularly receive letters of thanks from grateful parents who have been able to relax and enjoy their child’s party, leaving Hannah to organise everything for them.
On your next visit to Serendipity Sam’s in Romsey for a childrens indoor play party, or just a normal visit to have a play – make sure you say hello to Hannah, she will be waiting with a big smile ready to make your day.
Hannah’s favourite part of the play frame is the spinner where you stand on the base, hold on to the pole and spin around. It’s really good fun! Hannah’s favourite dish on our menu is the childrens Chicken Nugget meal, made from 100% chicken breast – they are delicious, and very popular.
Hannah is a valued member of our team, and looks forward to welcoming you to our Romsey centre soon…
